Resident Orientation and Placement Types
Each resident is referred to NWRRC through an outside agency and undergoes an orientation period upon arrival, familiarizing themselves with the Resident Handbook, facility operations, and program requirements.
Residents come from various backgrounds and federal placements, including Pretrial, Pre-Release, Public Law, and Direct Court placements. In addition, we have residents referred to NWRRC throughout Western Washington and all 36 counties in Oregon.
Each program – Federal, Aid & Assist, and DCJ – provides individualized support based on the their placement status and needs.

Visitor Information
Visitation plays a critical role in our residents’ journeys. Eligible residents may apply for visiting privileges for family and associates, and each visitor must be pre-approved by our team. Visiting takes place in supervised, designated areas within the facility. For a smooth visitation experience, please note our guidelines:
Visitors Providing Transportation
- Check-In Requirement: Visitors providing rides to residents must check in at the front desk and present a government-issued photo ID to NWRRC staff when picking up or dropping off residents.
Visitor Guidelines
- Location: Visits occur in our lobby or adjacent rooms under staff supervision.
- Identification: A government-issued photo ID is required, and personal items will be searched.
- Behavior: Please keep interactions respectful; any inappropriate behavior may result in termination of privileges.
- Attire: A dress code is enforced. Clothing must be modest, free of offensive language or imagery.
Visiting Hours
- Monday-Friday: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. NOTE: No children under 18 on Wednesday.
- Saturday & Holidays: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. NOTE: No children under 18 after 3 p.m.
